With a professional journey spanning academics, publishing, content management, advertising and media, Niranjan is a leading journalist in the B2B space. His 25+ years of overall experience includes 7+ years at the Times of India Group, where he headed the Editorial Department for the B2B Division at WWM. Besides the Times Group, Niranjan has also worked with organizations like the Elphinstone College, Macmillan Publishing, Netscribes, ITP Media, the Tata Group and Pro MFG Media. He is very well recognized for his leadership across the media domains of print, online and events.
For the last 17 years, Niranjan has extensively focused on the manufacturing industry covering all the key sectors like automotive, aerospace & defence, power, farm & construction equipment, consumer durables, chemicals, plastics & polymers, railways, metals & mining as well as general engineering. Having interviewed 300+ top CEOs across industries, Niranjan has also visited more than 700 manufacturing facilities across India. Considered as one of the finest moderators in his field, he has chaired over 400 panel discussions covering a variety of subjects from leadership to digital transformation, from operational excellence to diversity and from plant maintenance to supply chain management.
Niranjan was one of the 30 elite journalists selected for the ‘Future of Journalism Programme’ conducted by Meridian International (US Based Think-Tank) and sponsored by the US Consulate in 2023.
Niranjan loves travelling & walking, watching movies and listening to music, as well as reading & writing. In September 2021, Niranjan published his first novel – The Kingdom of God. Written in the historical fiction genre, this novel won the HBW News’ Global Achievement Award 2021 for the Best Debut Novel under the ‘Achievement in Literature’ category. Currently, Niranjan is working on two books – one is the sequel to the first novel and the second is about the significance of the manufacturing industry.
