Hexagon, the global leader in digital reality solutions, combining sensor, software and autonomous technologies, has recently announced the launch of ENSPEC, a new multidimensional coordinate measuring machine (CMM), and Hexagon’s first made-in-India metrology product. ENSPEC incorporates the most advanced, future-ready technology and is specifically designed keeping in mind the specific requirements of Indian manufacturers.
For years, Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division has served customers in India, enabling them to build an autonomous, sustainable future. Customers have been relying on Hexagon’s industrial metrology systems that range from hand tools to automated solutions, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), portable measuring arms, laser trackers, and optical scanners.
This announcement marks a new milestone for Hexagon’s India journey since ENSPEC is being manufactured, assembled and shipped locally from Hexagon’s facility in Noida, India. The ENSPEC series is available for shipping starting September 2024 onwards.
“Hexagon has been closely aligned with the India growth story, working closely with most local and multinational manufacturers in India,” said Pramod Kaushik, President, Hexagon India. “The launch of the ENSPEC series is a testament to Hexagon’s commitment to the Make in India initiative championed by the Government of India. This confirms Hexagon’s one step further in its commitment of bringing cutting-edge & future-ready technologies, to its customers and building a strong foundation for making India the next global manufacturing hub.”
“The ENSPEC coordinate measuring machines have excellent performance and diverse configurations, making them the first choice for inspection quality control and automation in the manufacturing industry,” said Anup Verma, Managing Director – Metrology Division, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, India. “While our customers are already familiar with the superior quality and innovative products in Hexagon’s metrology suite of products, manufacturing in India will allow us to serve them better and meet their demand in a timely manner.”
“With the massive disruption in the global supply chain exposing the need for diverse sourcing, India has the potential to become the next global manufacturing destination,” said Sridhar Dharmarajan, Executive Vice President & Managing Director, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, India. For several years now, Hexagon has helped companies in India engineer and build superior products from India. We’re looking forward to the next paradigm of growth in the country with the launch of ENSPEC, which will be manufactured, assembled and shipped locally in India.”
Hexagon’s metrology solutions help engineers around the globe close the gap between design intent and real-world operation with actionable, real-time insight that revolutionizes upstream and downstream decision-making. Backed by Hexagon’s proprietary measurement-assisted production technology, these solutions help manufacturers pioneer new digitalisation strategies that use quality data more effectively – informing design and engineering processes and providing feedback to production.
Hexagon’s ENSPEC series of three-dimensional coordinate measuring machines meet the measurement accuracy for multiple industries. Users can choose different measurement solutions such as touch-trigger probes or scanning sensors, according to their need.
Manufactured with integrated high-quality granite and hard anodised Aluminium mechanical frame, ENSPEC has features such as a touch trigger probing system, a continuous tactile scanning system, precise triangular traverse, and highly precise linear encoders. It uses pneumatic balancing technology.
